The paint has nothing special about it. Just the bodykit makes this submission stands out from the rest. As body customization is not the purpose of the constest, you do not have more chances to win than others. Nice picture though
its rebrushed to neon green man. sounds like a pretty different paint job than what it was originally. Anyways, leave my chances up to the judges mate. Good body customization certainly won't hurt my chances.
I think your wrong. The contest doesn't say anything about a paint job. You don't even have to use the photos. And they encourage you to place the car in a setting.
From the contest outline:
"Judging will be done by a panel representing various artistic backgrounds and styles drawn from the deviantART staff and community. Judging will be based solely on individual expression, creative approach and technical proficiency."
"There are no restrictions on what format or style you use in your submission. They can range from fully traditional to fully digital or anything in between as long as the subject matter is you splashing a new skin on one of the 5 models of Scion vehicles."
You don't think that they used "skin" instead of paint job for a reason? It seems to me that the only reference to a "paint job" is what you pasted, and in my opinion they're referring to painting as a medium, kind of a pun ya know..
I may be totally wrong, but I'm willing to bet that the winner isn't going to be some cool paint job on the standard car, it's going to be something way more crazy creative.
